Relocation to the Costa del Sol, without the guesswork
Residency paperwork, a home to rent, the right school, health cover, a bank account and the tax side — coordinated by one team in Marbella, for one fixed fee.
Moving abroad is a big decision. We make sure every step is clear, in the right order, and handled by people who know the Spanish system from the inside.
A move abroad is twenty small projects at once
You need an NIE before you can open a bank account. You need an address before you can register at the town hall. The school wants the padrón, the landlord wants a Spanish bank account, and the good rentals go before you land.
We help families and couples who are moving here for good — often with one partner still working abroad for a while, and children starting school in September. We put the pieces in the right order, deal with the Spanish side in Spanish, and tell you plainly what is realistic.
Everything you need to be up and running
- NIE for every family member — appointments, forms and the visit, so each of you has the number Spain asks for everywhere.
- Town hall registration (padrón) — for the whole family at your new address; needed for schools, healthcare and residency.
- A home to rent — search, viewings, negotiation with the owner and a contract checked by our lawyer.
- International school — a shortlist that fits your children and curriculum, then the application and enrolment.
- Private health insurance — cover from the day you need it, compared and arranged in your name.
- Bank account — a Spanish account, individual or joint, ready for rent and bills.
- Car — buying, financing or leasing options explained, and the paperwork handled.
- Visiting family — guidance on short-stay visas for relatives who need one to visit you.
- Tax and residency — when you become tax resident, what happens to pensions and income from abroad, and what to declare.
Each package is built around your plans: you take what you need, and pay one fixed fee for the whole.
A relocation we are planning right now
Details changed to protect the family’s privacy.
The family. A couple living outside Europe have bought a new-build apartment in Estepona, due for completion a year after their move. The mother and their two school-age daughters arrive first, in summer; the father keeps working abroad for another year and joins them when he retires.
What they asked us for. NIE numbers for the four of them, a three-bedroom rental for twelve months close to their future home, places at an international school with the IB programme, health insurance from the first month, a joint Spanish bank account, help buying a car, and a visa so a grandparent can visit.
Our honest assessment. Long-term rentals in Marbella and Estepona are scarce, and recent changes to tenancy law have made some owners even more cautious. Many prefer holiday lets in summer — exactly when this family arrives. Planning to find a flat in the four days between landing and moving in was too risky. We told them so before they signed anything.
The plan we agreed.
- Start the rental search months ahead and secure a flat about one month before arrival, even if that means paying rent from an earlier date.
- Widen the brief: a two-bedroom flat as an alternative, a flexible start date and some room in the budget.
- Book NIE appointments, the school application and health cover so each one is ready when the next step needs it.
- Register the mother and daughters at the town hall once the lease is signed.
- Open the joint account early, so rent and deposit can be paid from Spain.
All of this is covered by one fixed fee, lower than paying for each service on its own.
Five steps, one point of contact
From the first call to your first months here, you deal with one team that knows your plans.
Why families choose us
- One team, not five providers. Lawyer, tax adviser and property specialists under one roof, so nothing falls between the cracks.
- The legal and tax side done properly. Your contracts are checked by a qualified lawyer, and your tax position is reviewed by a tax adviser before you move.
- Straight talk about the market. If your budget or timing won’t work, we tell you early — and help you adjust.
- We speak your language. English, German and Spanish.
- Based in Marbella. We know the towns, the schools and the people you will deal with.
Your relocation questions,
answered
How early should we start?
Six to nine months before your move is ideal. Rentals for a July or August start are the hardest to find, and school places fill up.
Can you help if one of us is still working abroad?
Yes. We often work with one partner here and the other overseas, and can act for you with a power of attorney.
Do you register us at the town hall?
Yes. Registration on the padrón is part of the package, as soon as you have an address.
What does it cost?
One fixed fee, agreed in writing before we start, based on the services you choose. It is lower than paying for each service separately.
Do we need to buy a property through you?
No. Many clients rent first. If you buy later, we can represent you as buyer too.
